Pratap Pothen Dies At 70. Prithviraj Sukumaran And Others Pay Tribute

Veteran actor Pratap Pothen died in Chennai on the age of 70. The South star died following a cardiac arrest, his spouse Amala Pothen advised information company PTI. The actor, who gave memorable hits within the Tamil and Malayalam movie industries, "handed away in his sleep," his spouse mentioned. The filmmaker labored in about 100 movies in his profession. He marked his debut in 1978 with the Malayalam movie, Aaravam and later labored with Kamal Haasan in Varumaiyin Niram Sivappu, directed by the legendary Okay Balachander. Pratap Pothen directed the hit movie Vetri Vizha starring Kamal Haasan, amongst his different directorial ventures.

His movies in Tamil embody Meendum Oru Kathal Kathai, Moodupani and Panneer Pushpangal and he did a myriad of roles together with these with destructive shades throughout his profession.

Prithviraj Sukumaran paid tribute and tweeted: "Relaxation in peace uncle! I'll miss you," and added a heartbreak emoji.

Khushbu Sundar paid condolences to the household on Twitter: "So disheartened. Heartbreaking. Misplaced an excellent buddy, a beautiful human being, an awesome technician n actor n funniest man ever, Pratap Pothen this morning. Had the privilege to work with him in few movies. Hope you're lastly in peace PP. You'll be missed terribly," with the hashtag #RIP.

Pratap Pothen had featured final within the movie, CBI5 The Mind.
