The sanitation employee from Uttar Pradesh, who was sacked after a video of him carrying footage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a rubbish cart went viral, has been reinstated.
Earlier, the sanitation staff’ union had threatened a statewide stir demanding reinstatement of the sacked employee.
On July 17, a video of the employee, Bobby, carrying images of the PM and CM close to Subhash Inter Faculty in Vrindavan space of Mathura, taken by some vacationers from Gujarat went viral. The motion drew the ire of netizens who claimed that the PM and CM are Constitutional posts they usually should be revered.
Consequently, the sanitation employee was sacked by the authorities.
“I've nothing to do with this. It was within the trash, so I put them in my cart,” the sanitation employee was heard saying within the video, when he was cornered by a gaggle of males asking in regards to the photographs.
Shedding mild on the incident, Satyendra Kumar Tiwari, further municipal commissioner, Nagar Nigam Mathura-Vrindavan, had stated, “The person put the photographs in his cart unknowingly. An motion has been taken towards him and his companies have been terminated with fast impact.”
The leaders of the sanitation staff’ union had handed over a memorandum to the municipal commissioner and mayor of Mathura demanding Bobby’s reinstatement.
One of many leaders of the union stated that Bobby was simply doing his job. “He had no concept in regards to the images and sacking him for one thing he didn’t do deliberately was not acceptable.”
