Assam and Meghalaya will type three regional degree committees to resolve disputes in six border areas between the 2 states, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma introduced on Sunday after a gathering along with his Meghalaya counterpart Conrad Sangma.

Meghalaya had cited 12 areas of boundary disputes with Assam, and conferences and discussions had been held to unravel six disputed websites within the first part. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on March 29 within the presence of Union Residence Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi, paving the best way for resolving the problems with six disputed websites.

It was the ninth CM-level assembly on the problem.

The committees will probably be headed by Cupboard Ministers of every state together with members from the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council as three disputed websites out of six fall throughout the jurisdiction of the KAAC.

Inside 15 days, each the governments will notify regional committees because the members of the committees after in depth visits and speaking to locals.

As a goodwill gesture, the Chief Ministers will go to the disputed websites.
