A policeman was killed and a Central Reserve Police Drive (CRPF) personnel injured throughout a terror assault in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

"Terrorists fired upon a joint Naka social gathering of CRPF & Police at Pinglana, Pulwama. On this terror assault, 01 Police personnel received martyred & 01 CRPF personnel received injured," Kashmir Zone Police stated in a tweet.

The assault comes hours after an encounter in Shopian the place one Lashkar terrorist was killed after a three-hour operation.
