Olympic medallist boxer Vijender Singh and senior Congress leaders Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Randeep Singh Surjewala have been amongst those that joined the yatra which started from Kohand village in Gharaunda right here.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed its journey in Haryana on Saturday morning, with scores of individuals becoming a member of the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi-led foot march because it entered Karnal district from adjoining Panipat.

Olympic medallist boxer Vijender Singh and senior Congress leaders Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Randeep Singh Surjewala have been amongst those that joined the yatra which started from Kohand village in Gharaunda right here.

In response to the schedule, the yatra will halt for the night time in Indri right here earlier than shifting to Kurukshetra district subsequent morning.

The yatra re-entered Haryana on Thursday night from Uttar Pradesh.

The yatra lined over 130 km in its first part in Haryana from December 21-23, passing via Nuh, Gurugram and Faridabad districts.

The yatra, which began from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7, will finish with Gandhi hoisting the nationwide flag in Srinagar on January 30.

The march has up to now lined Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
