Somaiya has moved the courtroom claiming that Raut made baseless and defamatory allegation that she and her husband had been concerned in a Rs 100 crore rip-off associated to the development and upkeep of public bogs in Mira Bhayander space
A courtroom right here on Friday issued a non-bailable warrant towards Shiv Sena chief Sanjay Raut for not attending proceedings in a defamation grievance filed towards him by Medha Somaiya, the spouse of BJP chief Kirit Somaiya.
The warrant was issued by the Sewri metropolitan Justice of the Peace which recorded the complainant’s assertion and adjourned the listening to to January 24.
Raut didn't stay current regardless of the courtroom’s order, Medha Somaiya’s lawyer stated.
Somaiya has moved the courtroom claiming that Raut made baseless and defamatory allegation that she and her husband had been concerned in a Rs 100 crore rip-off associated to the development and upkeep of public bogs in Mira Bhayander space close to Mumbai.
She sought registration of a case towards Raut, who belongs to the Uddhav Thackeray faction of the Shiv Sena, below Indian Penal Code part 499 (felony defamation).
