Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP and former bureaucrat Jawhar Sircar referred to as Prime Minister Narendra Modi "asura" whereas hitting out at Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar who on Tuesday had stated that his father, Dr Ok Subrahmanyam was eliminated as Secretary of Defence Manufacturing by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi after she returned to energy in 1980.

This got here after the Exterior Affairs Minister in an interview with ANI, revealed that his father Dr Ok Subrahmanyam was eliminated as secretary, defence manufacturing by former PM Indira Gandhi in 1980 and that he was outmoded in the course of the Rajiv Gandhi interval with somebody junior to him turning into the Cupboard Secretary.

"Unusual -- that Jaishankar found his angst in opposition to the Gandhis -- after serving them most loyally and taking the most effective of postings beneath them? Is it Amnesia or is he simply cuddling as much as BJP for his unprecedented promotion as International Minister?" Sircar wrote on the microblogging web site.

Jaishankar was International Secretary from January 2015 to January 2018 and earlier served in key ambassadorial positions together with in China and the USA. His father Ok Subrahmanyam, who handed away in 2011, is thought to be considered one of India's most distinguished nationwide safety strategists.

"In 1980, he was Secretary, Defence Manufacturing. In 1980 when Indira Gandhi was re-elected, he was the primary Secretary that she eliminated. And he was essentially the most educated individual everyone would say on defence," Jaishankar stated within the podcast interview with ANI's Editor Smita Prakash.
