Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday vowed to "systematically" press on with Moscow's offensive in Ukraine, as he gave his state of the nation tackle.
"Step-by-step, we'll fastidiously and systematically remedy the goals that face us," Putin stated forward of the primary anniversary of the navy intervention.
He additionally stated that the West was "utterly accountable" for the escalation in Ukraine. "The accountability for fuelling the Ukrainian battle, for its escalation, for the variety of victims... lies utterly with Western elites," Putin advised Russia's high officers and political elites.
"The West is making an attempt to show a neighborhood battle into a world battle and “we'll react in an applicable approach. We're speaking in regards to the existence of our nation," he added.
Putin's remarks come a day after US President Joe Biden made a visit to Kyiv, organised in strict secrecy. The US President promised Ukraine $500 million in recent arms and "unwavering" American help forward of the primary anniversary of Russia's invasion.
