Senior BJP legislator Binoy Bhusan Das on Wednesday took oath because the pro-tem speaker of the Tripura Meeting at Raj Bhavan in Agartala.

Das, the MLA of Panisagar meeting constituency, was sworn in by Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya within the presence of Chief Minister Manik Saha and his cupboard colleagues.

Legislators of the 60-member meeting of the northeastern state will take oath on Thursday and Friday, Das mentioned, including that he'll conduct the Home until new Speaker and deputy Speaker are elected.

The subsequent meeting session is scheduled to start on March 24. In the course of the temporary session, vote on account shall be positioned earlier than the Home because the price range for 2023-24 couldn't be ready because of the meeting elections.
