With the panchayat elections due in a month’s time, Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee has determined to take cost of the get together’s affairs in Birbhum district within the absence of arrested chief Anubrata Mondal, a senior member of the get together stated.
Senior get together chief and MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay stated on Friday that the choice was taken through the get together’s assembly at Banerjee’s Kalighat residence.
“Our get together chief shall be taking care of the get together affairs in Birbhum district. Aroop Biswas, who has been taking care of get together affairs in Purba Bardhaman and Darjeeling has been requested to maintain Nadia district. Firhad Hakim will take care of affairs in Howrah and Hooghly districts," Bandyopadhyay informed reporters after the assembly.
Malay Ghatak will take care of the districts of Bankura, Purulia and Paschim Bardhaman whereas Tapas Roy can be the custodian of Dakshin Dinajpur district, he added.
Get together sources stated that senior chief Siddiqullah Chowdhury, moreover Sabina Yeasmin was requested to take care of the districts of Uttar Dinajpur, Malda and Murshidabad districts.
Get together strongman Mondal, who remains to be the Birbhum president, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for his alleged involvement in cattle smuggling.
Requested whether or not the leaders shall be working as get together observers, the TMC MP stated, “Nobody has been named as an observer by the get together.
