A 16-year-old lady was allegedly raped by a 68-year-old man whereas his son ended up recording the act on his telephone suspecting that his father practised black magic, Delhi police stated on Thursday.

The incident got here to mild when the survivor's father approached the police on Tuesday and confirmed the video shot by the accused's son, a senior police officer stated.

In keeping with police, the incident occurred on the accused's home between April 20 and 30. The person had threatened the lady to not disclose the incident to anybody.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi stated that after interrogating each the accused and his son, the accused was arrested and despatched to judicial custody.

A case has been registered towards the accused beneath Sections 376 (rape), 506 (prison intimidation) and 354 (assault or prison drive to girl with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code and related sections of the Safety of Kids In opposition to Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, Kalsi stated.

In the meantime, proof is being collected to take motion towards the accused's son for allegedly recording the video and sharing it with the survivor's father, the DCP stated.

The cellphones used for sending and receiving the video have been seized and are being examined to show the culpability of the son of the accused, he added.

"Related sections of the IT Act and Indian Penal Code are being invoked because the proof comes on file," the DCP added.

The police additionally booked one Narender, a neighbour of the survivor's household, for allegedly pressurising them to not report the incident to the police. A separate case of prison intimidation and assault has been registered towards him, the DCP stated.

The survivor was counselled and despatched for a medical examination, the police stated, including that they've requested the Youngster Welfare Committee (CWC) to undertake a post-traumatic stress dysfunction (PTSD) counselling session for the lady.
