Karnataka Residence Minister G Parameshwara on Monday dominated out handing over the probe into the homicide of a Jain monk in Belagavi district, as he complimented the effectivity of the state police in investigating the case and arrests made thus far.

Kamkumar Nandi Maharaj from Nand Parvat Ashram at Hirekodi village in Chikkodi taluk was allegedly murdered and his physique was dumped in a borewell pit at Khatakbhavi village in Raibag taluk.

“Nobody will do politics or other forms of discrimination in such circumstances…After the police bought to know concerning the incident and the criticism was filed…Police have instantly swung into motion, and have arrested the culprits. I praise the police for the swift motion," Parameshwara instructed reporters right here.

Noting that he has spoken to Jain seer Varuru Gunadhara Nandi Maharaj, who has launched a sit-in protest in Hubballi following the incident, and that he has come to fulfill him, Parameshwara mentioned he has come to hearken to the seer’s calls for and provides assurances that actions will probably be taken, and it will likely be ensured that such incidents don’t repeat.

Responding to a query on the demand for a CBI probe into the incident, the Minister mentioned the police division is environment friendly and has arrested the culprits instantly.

“The inquiry is underway, so I don’t see the necessity for the probe to be handed over to CBI or every other company instantly. The police division has began the inquiry and as soon as it's accomplished the reality will probably be identified," he mentioned.

Replying to a query about allegations in some quarters that the case has been “uncared for because the Jain group is a small vote financial institution," Parameshwara mentioned making such false prices will not be proper; issues must be left for the regulation to take its course.

“Police operate in a non-partisan method with out coming underneath any strain," he added.
