Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday stated NCP chief Ajit Pawar's entry into the Shiv Sena-BJP authorities within the state posed no menace to him.

"Such issues occur when meritorious celebration employees are sidelined. Ajit Pawar has himself stated that it was Sharad Pawar who had needed an alliance with the BJP up to now….in 2017, 2019 however did a U-turn later," Shinde informed DD News in an interview.

He additionally identified that Sharad Pawar himself had rebelled towards then chief minister Vasantdada Patil (in 1978) and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi (in 1999).

Dismissing hypothesis that he was about to get replaced as chief minister, Shinde stated these had been baseless rumours which trigger him no "stress", and the "increased ups" will take applicable resolution.

"Now with a 3rd accomplice, we have now to work collectively strongly and make Narendra Modi prime minister once more in 2024…..We've got to win Maharashtra with greater than 45 (out of 48 Lok Sabha) seats," Shinde stated.
