Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will file his nomination for Rajya Sabha from Gujarat's Gandhinagar on Monday. The Election Fee has introduced the schedule for the election on 10 Rajya Sabha seats in Goa, Gujarat and West Bengal -- which will likely be held on July 24.

The Fee stated 10 members from Goa, Gujarat and West Bengal are scheduled to retire in July and August.

The seats that are to be vacated in Rajya Sabha as a result of retirement of members embrace Derek O'Brien from West Bengal and S Jaishankar from Gujarat.

July 13 is the final date for submitting nominations for the vacant Rajya Sabha seats, the Election Fee stated.

The counting of the votes will likely be held on July 24. Elections will likely be held on one Rajya Sabha seat from Goa as Vinay D. Tendulkar is ready to retire on July 28.
