Senior BJP chief Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday appealed to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to rethink his resolution of scrapping the Nationwide Training Coverage (NEP) from the subsequent educational 12 months.
Bommai stated the Siddaramaiah authorities will likely be doing a disservice to the youngsters of Karnataka by abolishing the NEP.
The NEP draft introduced out by the Centre was accredited by Siddaramaiah throughout his earlier tenure, the BJP chief advised PTI.
Former ISRO chief and ex-Karnataka Information Fee chairman Ok Kasturirangan was appointed by the Central authorities because the chief of the duty pressure to organize a brand new schooling coverage. On his recommendation, the NEP was drafted, he defined.
“When this being the case, for mere petty political causes, Siddaramaiah needs to herald a brand new system (of schooling). It’s detrimental to the way forward for youngsters of Karnataka," the previous chief minister identified.
“NEP is essentially the most progressive laws so far as schooling is worried and so they (Congress authorities) are undoing this. That is the best disservice to the youngsters of Karnataka," he stated.
In line with him, dad and mom have already expressed their displeasure over the choice to scrap the NEP.
Bommai stated the folks of Karnataka is not going to permit the scrapping of NEP and BJP would stand by them.
“We're with the folks of Karnataka to safeguard the curiosity of kids. NEP goes to remain right here. I urge Siddramaiah to rethink the entire proposal (of scrapping NEP)," the BJP chief stated.
The earlier BJP authorities in Karnataka had carried out the NEP, which Siddaramaiah stated could be scrapped from subsequent 12 months.
