Madhya Pradesh police are in a spot over a viral video by which girls cops are seen dragging a lady by her hair.

The lady, Chaina Bai Kachi, was reportedly thrashed and brought into custody when she demanded compensation for the set up of an electrical energy tower on her land at Kauriya village in Katni district.

Following allegations of police excesses after the video circulated on social media, a senior police officer has denied that the lady was crushed up and stated police had acted as per guidelines. Police stated that it was an previous video however didn't give a date.

Chaina Bai Kachi has alleged that she acquired no compensation for the set up of an electrical energy tower on her land. When a bulldozer rolled in for establishing the tower, she and her relations tried to dam its approach. At this level, police allegedly thrashed her and took her and 4 others into preventive custody.

The lady and her lawyer reached the collectorate and the workplace of the district police chief to register their grievance towards the police motion. Her lawyer slammed the motion towards her and stated nobody is heeding her grievance. She stated that they had urged the district administration to behave towards the officers and the cops involved.

Addressing the media, senior police officer Manoj Kedia stated the lady was creating public nuisance and blocking work to put in the electrical energy tower. Due to this fact, he stated, she was taken into preventive custody. The officer denied that cops had crushed up the lady. "Ladies cops acted as per guidelines," the officer stated.
